Singapore's tourism was affected by the iceland volcanic eruption that took place on the 16 of April.

It affect Singapore's tourism as the volcanic eruption in iceland, led to the shut down of several major European hubs .The emission of the ash from the volcanic eruption had totally crippled the air transport. Airlines suffered great losses economically as all flights to and in Europe had to be cancel. Tourists were stranded not only in Europe but also in other parts of the world.Air flights could only be at the safe level , as it would causes blurry vision for the pilots.

It also affect Singapore's tourism as the ash would damaged aircraft engines.Hence , tourist could hardly came to Singapore , and it resulted in the decreased of the numbers of booking the tourist had book at first. Many hotels in Singapore suffered losses.

Therefore , tourists are unable to arrive in Singapore , and Singapore tourism decreased as neither flights could come in or go out of Singapore.
